Global Security Challenge

Siemens VC to Mentor Winner of the GSC Ideas Award

As we mentioned a couple weeks ago on our blog, the GSC has added competitions for people with good ideas for security technologies.  This is meant to support innovators who haven't yet formed a business or finished their prototype.  We are happy to announce that winner of the Ideas Prize will receive mentorship from Uwe Albrecht, Managing Partner of the Corporate Fund at Siemens Venture Capital.

Dr Albrecht has been a judge at different stages for the GSC in the past and has gone on to say about the GSC:

"The Global Security Challenge offers a chance for entrepreneurs to overcome hurdles and find partners and customers."

This search for innovative ideas will help to bring fresh thoughts to problems of national and homeland security. It also acts to encourage and nurture the birthplace of many innovations, as we at the GSC have noticed that 42% of our entrants originated from universities. Hopefully this award will increase the prospect of successful concept development.

Entrants can come from start-ups and spin-outs, laboratories, universities, projects, entrepreneurs and individuals. Click Here to Enter.
