Startup Competitions Pay-Off

There was a nice write-up about startup competitions in the FT last week. Here are the main points why entrepreneurs should enter competitions according to Emma Jacobs' article in the Financial Times:

  • Winning is good for business;
  • Companies that enter competitions say that preparations help them to evaluate their progress;
  • Entrants cite the value of judges' feedback;
  • Competitors also benefit from networking;
  • An award might be a way to differentiate your company.
We couldn't agree more - especially if you can win over $500K in cash grants at competitions such as the Global Security Challenge 2008.
